Our Beliefs

  • WHY DO WE PHYSICALLY AND AUDIBLY PRAISE AND WORSHIP GOD?
Psalms 34:1 " I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalms 100:1 " Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands." Revelation 19:1, 6 (v1) "And after these things, I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation and glory and honor and power, unto the Lord our God: (v6) And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. • WHY WE SING IN ENGLISH AND TONGUES
Psalm 103:1 "Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name." [N.I.V. version] 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 (v14) "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. (v15) What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the Spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also."

  • WE SPEAK IN TONGUES AND INTERPRET TONGUES
I Corinthians 12:7-10 (v7) " But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. (v8) For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.(v9) To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (v10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophesy; to another discerning of spirits, to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:" I Corinthians 14:5, 27 & 39 (v5) "I would that ye all spoke with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying." (v27) "If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret." (v39) "Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues." Acts. 2:l-4 (v1) "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.(v2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. (v3) And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.(v4) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
