Many years ago, Dr. Benjamin founded Greater Anointed Christian Fellowship Ministries Inc., in Charleston, South Carolina. At that time the ministry was known as "Anointed Christian Fellowship."
Dr. Benjamin, who in addition to being a minister of God's word, was also a certified teacher and was Supervisor of the mathematics program for Charleston's Public School System. Dr. Benjamin's superior skills in the education arena earned her a spot in Harvard University's Mathematics Program for educators. More importantly, Dr. Benjamin utilized her fine training and experience to found her own Christian Academy for grades K-12 in Charleston, South Carolina. The Academy gained local prominence and recognition.
About 21 years ago, Dr. Benjamin relocated to Richmond, Virginia, to further spread the ministry God placed under her direction. Shortly after her arrival, she founded the local church of Greater Anointed Christian Fellowship Ministries. Dr. Benjamin also continued in her vocation as an educator.
While in Richmond, Dr. Benjamin's skills and talents once again made room for her. Richmond Public Schools promoted her to the position of their Math Specialist. A position Dr. Benjamin maintained until she retired from teaching in 1998.
In addition to serving as an educator, and minister of God, Dr. Benjamin serves as a mentor for "at-risk" boys and girls. In acknowledgement of her many contributions, the Richmond Rehabilitation Housing Authority named Dr. Benjamin as the Recipient of its Humanitarian of the Year Award.
Dr. Benjamin is known for her profound influence, powerful principles, and spiritual effect on the lives of people. She has the gift of making things simple without being simplistic.
For 27 years Dr. Benjamin served as a pastor. In August 1999 she was elevated to the office of Bishop. She has several churches under her leadership both nationally and internationally.
